Elix-IRR is a business success story borne of market insight, a strong vision, and the determination of a highly skilled and experienced team. Founded in August 2009 during one of the worst recessions, with the Consulting market having shrunk significantly as a result of its client base cutting spend on professional advisors, Elix-IRR was awarded an accolade in the International Business Awards as Distinguished Honoree, New Company of the Year for 2011.
The founders of Elix-IRR set themselves a target to become one of the World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors by 2013. As a result of Elix-IRR’s unique and differentiated position in the market the firm achieved the status of one of the World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors in 2012, a full year earlier than expected.
The outsourcing industry is dominated by a few large international providers, with clients who only enter into large sourcing deals once every 5-10 years. Strategy houses can create theory-based reports but offer limited practical implementation experience, procurement advisors are predominantly focused on the specific transaction, and Audit-based advisory firms often had other agendas (such as selling a wide range of other services). No single advisor appeared to be offering deep insight incorporating a vendor’s perspective, and legal advice had to be engaged separately, duplicating work and delaying deals.
