Context
Elix-IRR is a strategic sourcing advisory firm formed in 2009 that specialises in consulting on all forms of outsourcing, shared services and procurement. Elix-IRR delivers on large change programmes, taking out cost with a focus on creating demonstrable value to the business. Elix-IRR combines senior professionals from consulting firms such as McKinsey, IBM, Accenture, AT Kearney and KPMG with practitioners from industry such as Citibank, Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse, Tetra Pak, Sainsbury’s, Adecco, Dell and Warner Music Group. Elix-IRR’s priority is practical delivery, bridging the gap between the theoretical strategy houses and the transactional focus of traditional sourcing companies.
We are a young and vibrant niche consultancy, with a requirement for dynamic strategy and sourcing advisory Principals to join our progressive organisation and work on a number of cutting-edge client engagements.
Role and Responsibilities
To be considered for these roles you will need to demonstrate:
- 6-10 years’ experience at either a top tier management consultancy or an outsourcing supplier (a senior manager in ‘consulting-speak’)
- Strategy and Outsourcing experience – Go to Market, Business Processes, IT, Finance, Procurement, HR and/or bespoke (e.g. industry BPOs)
- If the individual’s background is from a management consultancy firm, experience of working on advising clients on outsourcing is preferable. If the person’s background is from an outsourcing supplier, experience of working in outsourcing sales is preferable. If the person’s background is from a strategy consulting house, business and operating strategy skills with a commercial awareness are preferable.
- The track record and ability to form relationships of trust that develop into sustainable revenue over time
- Excellent team and coaching skills. You will be required to develop more junior consultants rapidly and to lead and get the best out of teams. You will need to demonstrate a life history of working and achieving within teams (sporting, academic and/or business)
- Deep experience of working on business cases and creating value propositions and proposals for clients
- Absolute confidence in front of senior clients
- An understanding of finance metrics and commercial understanding is essential
- Confidence, commitment, ambition, self motivation and excellent communication / written skills
- Excellent Powerpoint and Excel skills
